We lost the database. We were up half the night trying to get it back, but it's gone--users, fan fic, fan sites...you name it.
We host our sites with one of the most reputable--and expensive--hosting companies online. We pay as much as a mortgage payment for "fanatical support" including "managed backups." OOPS they tell us...sorry. We never backed you up. Not once. Never. So all the data is lost.
I screamed. I cried. A LOT. We have been working our asses off since September 23 inviting people to come to myFandoms. This hosting company totally screwed us.
My only hope is that all of you who have come to the site have been SO nice, and SO kind. I just pray you trust us and come back. The backup system is in place. Heads are rolling in at the hosting company. This will *never* happen again.
Let me turn to the positive things to look forward to since we can't go back and fix things. If I don't look forward, I won't be able to get through the day:

There's also a design a logo for a new movie contest coming up! We're just finalizing the details on that this week. After that, there will be a fan art contest for a walk on part in the movie!
AND there are more scripts to be won, including Star Wars, Star Trek Enterprise, Star Trek V Final Frontier, Buffy, Xena, Charmed, Lost, Alias, and more.
So, please do hang in there with us. We PROMISE it will only get better from here.
