A/N: I love how easily this story is coming to me lol. Sometimes I have a start point and an end point with no idea how to make them connect, but this one is happening with great ease. I think after this chapter I will update Vindictive (ShikaNeji story) just so I can burn off some of my ShikaNeji tendencies! Hopefully after that my Redemption's Province and THEN another chapter for Chimera. Whew. Thank you to everyone who's been reading and reviewing, I can not express the joy I feel every time I get feedback from you guys! This chapter is a tad fluffy as far as storyline goes, only a few little details here that won't become important until my next few chapters. WHEN will Sasuke and Neji be together? After several moments of contemplating whether or not he should move Sasuke, Shikamaru simply flicked the light off and closed the door. He wasn't sure how happy Neji was going to be waking up to find Sasuke's face right next to his own, but that would have to wait until morning. For now, Shikamaru needed some sleep of his own. His lips curled into a small smile as he settled himself once more on the couch.

Damned Uchiha. Shikamaru couldn't help but think.

-Chapter Six-

Neji felt a sense of warmness wrapped around his torso, waking him from his slumber. Instant irritation shot through his body. He remembered being at his desk last night but his memories didn't go much further than that. Surely he must've fallen asleep at the desk, but he was most definitely not at his desk now. Shifting slightly he realized he was laying on the couch in his office. He swore on everything he was worth he would skin Sasuke alive if he woke up in the smug man's arms. He popped an eye open cautiously and scanned the room to find himself alone. He inhaled and held his breath, turning behind him to see no one on the couch.

Well that's a relief. Neji decided as he sat up.

He was surprised to find a jacket had been draped around his shoulders, one that smelled a good bit like Sasuke. What was with Sasuke suddenly being so nice anyway? As far as Neji could tell, up until now anyway, Sasuke's sole intent was just to get in his pants. Try as he might, Sasuke was definitely not getting into Neji's pants. He threw his legs over the couch and stood, making his way towards a bottle of water on his desk. With a sigh he took a sip, staring out the open window. This was it. Today he and his teammates would travel to Thunder Country. Today he would find the man who had caused him so much pain, who had murdered his father. Today, Neji Hyūga would show no mercy.

Another soft sigh escaped his lungs as he exited the office, tapping lightly on the small door to the left. A light snort told Neji that Shikamaru was indeed inside, most likely sleeping. He hoped to Gods Shikamaru was decent. Holding his breath, he gripped the handle and opened the door slowly. To his surprise, it was not Shikamaru he found sleeping there but Sasuke Uchiha. A nearly naked Sasuke Uchiha, save for his boxers. Neji immediately wondered where his partner had gone, it was still too early for the Nara to be awake. He also wondered why Sasuke was sleeping here in their office.

Troublesome. Neji couldn't help but think.

Neji knelt beside Sasuke and watched him for a few moments. The younger man had a string of drool trailing from his mouth, making Neji want to gag. His hair was tousled in every different direction, messy strands tangling over Sasuke's face. Neji brushed a few of them away, ignoring the Uchiha's loud snoring.

"Wake up, Sasuke" Neji called, shaking the man gently.

Sasuke waved Neji's hand away, hugging himself in a fetal position. Neji wrinkled his nose in irritation, not appreciating being shooed away. He called his teammate's name several times, shaking the sleeping male vigorously.

"Five more minutes" Sasuke mumbled.

Neji's eye twitched. Five more minutes would be just fine if Sasuke actually meant five more minutes. He had spent more than enough time around Shikamaru Nara to know that five minutes never actually meant five minutes. He was sure Sasuke felt the same way about this apparent five minute rule. Neji huffed and shoved the Sharingan user's legs aside so he could sit at the edge of the couch. He would give Sasuke his fucking five minutes, then it would definitely be time to wake up. This was decidedly the longest five minutes of Neji's life. He laid his head back against the wall, peering sideways at the sleeping man. A small smile spread his lips.
