A The Sky is Falling Production A TALES FROM HOGWARTS SPECIAL PRESENTATION... Tales From Hogwarts Strawberries and Chocolate Written by Silent-Wings Based on the world of Harry Potter by JK Rowling “Never understood how she could, mean so little to so many. Why does she mean everything to me?” - Billy Talent, Pins and Needles Part 1: Stoned &nbs p; It was snowing out that day, but in the fields of Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, flowers were blooming in full bloom. Bliss colours surrounded the field, it was magic almost. &nbs p; All was perfect and in line at the school of Hogwarts, or it could’ve been, if only for one thing… &nbs p; “Valentine’s Day” muttered Matthew; he sat under a blooming tree covered in pink petals. He buried his face in his hands; it was the one time of year when nothing seemed normal. He took his eyes away from the shadows of his hands and stared at his notebook that sat upon his lap. &nbs p; “Your actually doing it?” asked a voice, a shadow covered Matthew, it was a good friend of his, Christopher. Matthew sighed and mused with a simple, “yes”. &nbs p; “What?” asked Joshua; he seemed to almost pop right from behind Christopher. Matthew sighed again, he honestly didn’t want to explain it again, and instead, Christopher took the liberty. &nbs p; “Professor Trelawney believes that he has a great future and needs it to be expressed through poetry or something, so, guess what? He’s writing poetry, it’s also due on Valentine’s Day” explained Christopher, Joshua burst out laughing. Matthew glared at him. “Enjoy it while it lasts bird boy” he remarked. &nbs p; Joshua stopped laughing as if he knew what was coming next. “Avis” announced Matthew, a flock of birds flew from his pointed wand, and he didn’t even take a passing glance at his victim. Joshua began to run but unfortunately slipped on the snow, he hit the snow with a slap. &nbs p; “Ouch” he remarked, birds surrounded him but eventually flew off, joining other flocks of birds only to dissolve into magical dust moments later. &nbs p; “Now that that’s settled,” said Matthew as he grabbed his book bag and notebook and walked away. He tapped his quill against his head. “Valentine’s…” he repeated. &nbs p; “Hmm”-repeated Brittany, she sat at a picnic table in the south field of Hogwarts, right in front of Hagrid’s hut. Megan sat beside her and Samantha across. Hagrid walked from his hut carrying 4 cups and a pot of steaming hot tea. &nbs p; “‘Ere it is” he said as he laid the tray on the picnic table. “Enjoy it while it’s hot” he repeated. “Thank you Hagrid” thanked Samantha; Hagrid took a seat beside her. &nbs p; “So what’s it exactly yer all talkin’ about?” asked Hagrid. “Nothing” answered Brittany, she silently sipped her tea. “She’s obsessing…” answered Megan, Brittany silently kicked her. &nbs p; “Well, you best be goin’ back now, yer here me? Come visit again whenever yer like” commented Hagrid, the clock struck 12 as the bell rung throughout the school as students rushed from their lunch back to class. &nbs p; “Next on the agenda?” asked Crystal, she struggled to lift the large amount of books. “The books get bigger and bigger each year” she commented. Tara starred at the parchment hanging by a finger in her hand. “Well, Potions” she said. &nbs p; “Off we go then” replied Crystal, they were off. &nbs p; Matthew scarcely brushed them as he walked past, he was in a hurry. To him, if he ran fast enough, he’d be able to hopefully miss Antoinette and possibly-“Ack!” he screeched. He slammed into Antoinette in the hallway. &nbs p; “So sorry” she said, she began to gather up her books. “Nice going” said Crystal, she and Tara laughed as they entered the dungeons. &nbs p; Matthew sneered back. Surprisingly Antoinette had put his books away for him. “Thanks…” muttered Matthew, he couldn’t look her in the eye and didn’t. He walked off suddenly. &nbs p; Potions were never anyone’s favorite subjects, and no one had ever gotten the formulas exactly. Copying Professor Slughorn’s every move and taking notes at the same time was a death wish. &nbs p; “Haven’t seen you in a while” said Samantha, she began to bring out last class’s homework. Daniel stared at it with a twisted face. “I don’t think I brought that,” he said. &nbs p; “Sucks to be you then” replied Brittany, she kicked him in the shin, and he gasped in pain. &nbs p; Conversation carried on, Slughorn seemed to be unintentionally late today, not that it mattered, and the more time he took getting there, the better. Suddenly he walked in, as daunting as his appearance, which was covered in smoke and dust. |
